Good day, learners! My name is Zobia and I am a graduate of Temple University with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. First a bit about myself and my qualifications: Despite pursuing chemistry from high school till now, I have a longer history with tutoring. During high school, I was a math and reading tutor at Kumon. In college, I was a college level mathematics and sciences tutor at Temple's Math and Science resource center and taught for a wide range of goals (classes, exams, college entrance exams, Praxis etc). Additionally, I was a classroom assistant and Peer tutor for chemistry. Finally, with an initiative for promoting English literacy, I taught ESL to both recent immigrants and long time citizens having trouble with the English language. Over the years of tutoring, I have learned to gauge comprehension, confusion, uncertainty, and mastery in the people I have tutored. Especially as a tutor, I have seen the importance of connecting with the learners and meeting them at their level of understanding or confusion. I tend to put in my utmost effort during tutoring sessions, and nothing gives me more satisfaction then when the learners succeed.

On another note, I'm a decent conversationalist, and love talking about all sorts of different topics. I enjoy a wide variety of books although I am goner for most fiction novels. I love cartoons, and action thrillers, and there's nowhere I'd rather be but outside under a tree on a beautiful day. I look forward to meeting you soon!

As a chemistry major, I have taken many mathematics courses, all the way up to advanced differential equations. Most importantly however, I have taught many high school and adult students algebra and I know how hard the transition can be to these concepts, coming from problem solving and arithmetic based math classes. I am confident in my ability to determine help students grasp the concepts of algebra that otherwise seem so foreign. I hope to hear from you soon!

Zobia rocks!

Zobia did a fantastic job tutoring my HS daughter in both precalc and chemistry. She is able to take complex material and break it down into understandable pieces that my daughter easily grasped. My daughter looked forward to every single session. In the end Zobia took my daughter from a C+ and a C- midterm grades to very high Bs for the 2nd semester, resulting in Bs in both classes as final grades. I can't speak highly enough of her!

Knowledgeable and helpful

Our first lesson with Zobia went well. She arrived right on time and spent time figuring out the student's skill level. She understands the goals of the student and discussed with student and parent what she would need from them in order for her to be prepared for the next lesson. Student is looking forward to next lesson.

Excellent tutor who is very reliable

Zobia has been a huge help for my daughters who are currently in 6th and 8th grade. Math doesn't come easy for them, but Zobia has done an excellent job explaining some of the more complex concepts. She is always on time and has been very responsive anytime we have a question or need to reschedule.

Excellent tutor

Zobia has been an excellent tutor for my son, who is in high school. She is very easy to get in touch with and sends me a summary of what material was covered in their sessions. She has been able to explain the material in a way that is easily understandable and has helped him greatly. I would highly recommend her to anyone.
