Chatham University (Master's)
I am a graduate from Chatham University. I received my Bachelor of science degree in biology in 2009, and my Master of science degree from biology in 2012. I graduated with a 3.8 GPA and have a thorough understanding of many math and science subjects. My grasp of the English language is also quite strong, and I would love to help you with writing technical papers. I am friendly an love meeting new people. My work experience is primarily in the field of veterinary medicine, but I am always continuing my education, and am going to school for laboratory science at present.
If you are having a difficult time understanding any branch of biology or basic mathematics, I am certain I can help you. I have always had an easy time communicating and helping my peers understand difficult information. My approach to tutoring is to ascertain your current level of knowledge, and glean what concepts are incomplete. After determining where comprehension is inadequate, I will help you by explaining those difficult concepts in various and creative ways, illustrating with repetition and devising mnemonics.
I have used algebra in my daily life since high school, and have a very firm grasp of its concepts. I find it highly intuitive and believe I can make it easy to understand for anyone who has a difficult time with it.
I have a Masters degree in biology, and have studied extensively subjects such as cell and molecular biology, genetics, microbiology, mycology, hematology, immunology, zoology, parasitology, developmental biology, neurology, anatomy, and physiology.
I have strong communication skills, and would love to make these subjects fun and easy for you to learn! Dear Student,

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have used algebra in my daily life as a veterinary technician and laboratory scientist. I have a very firm understanding of the subject and am happy to share my knowledge. I am able to think outside the box and describe things in multiple ways. I look forward to helping you if you are struggling with this subject!
I am very knowledgeable in general biology and many focused areas within the subject, as I have earned my Masters degree in biology. I find it very intuitive, and believe I can help you wrap your head around difficult concepts or devise mnemonics that are meaningful to you. I understand biology on a molecular level, including the basic concepts involved in genetics and development, which provide a firm foundation for the understanding of biology in every aspect.
I studied genetics as part of my graduate education. I was at the top of my class, and have continued to read about and study genetics on my own. I find the subject very intuitive, and believe I would be the ideal candidate to help anyone who is having trouble with the subject.
Geometry is a very important prerequisite to other branches of math and science, such as physics, which I have also taken and understand well. While I have not used geometry on a daily basis, I remember well from my secondary education. I have a strong understanding of this basic course, and will be happy to help anyone who is having trouble in the subject.
I have very recently completed an in depth microbiology course as part of my program to become a medical laboratory scientist. Microbiology is a very difficult subject, and I have developed several helpful tricks for remembering the overwhelming amount of information. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and tricks on the subject with anyone who is struggling.
