I am a college graduate from a private school with a degree in Business. Upon graduating Magna Cum Laude, I worked for a large financial institution, the oil industry, and an accounting firm before deciding to go back to school to pursue a degree in Electrical Engineering.

I graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering from Penn State, The Behrend College in 2016. I enjoy tutoring all maths, especially Trigonometry, Linear Algebra and all levels of Calculus. I am currently employed as a Power Engineer for a large Steelmaker.

I am told I am a good tutor because I have often had the same troubles in particular areas of studies as many other students. I continued to read and ask questions to better understand these tough topics until they are clear to me. After this process, I can better explain to students the correct way to go about the problem, offer alternative approaches as well as shortcuts that will save time and headache.

I teach the way I learn which is what I call compounded repetition. We will do a particular problem several times. This assures that the student understands why we do what we do and not just come to a solution. From there, we will do a more challenging problem which takes elements from the previous one and again, work it out several times. We will then randomly select several of these questions to do again towards the end of the session. Your student will get to the point where they know the appropriate steps to take right away from just seeing the question because they have worked it out so many times. It is the technique I personally used.

I look forward to hearing from you and helping achieve success in your studies!

Algebra 2

After completing my business degree, I decided to go back to school and work on my electrical engineering degree. It is a math-intensive subject, but that is what I enjoy. I use what I learned in my algebra course still to this day in my engineering classes. I am told I am a good tutor, because I teach the way I teach myself.

Differential Equations,

Differential Equations

I am qualified to tutor differential equations because I have had this course two semesters ago while pursuing my Electrical Engineering degree. It is a very important class because many circuits can be solved using first and second-order differential equations. Spring-Mass equations, which are mainly found in physics, can be solved using D.E. techniques as well. I received an A in this class.
Linear Algebra,

Linear Algebra

I am qualified to tutor linear algebra because I had to take this class while pursuing my Electrical Engineering degree. Matrices, as it is also referred to, is extremely useful for solving simultaneous equations and equations with more than one variable. This is all done by row reducing. Basic matrix algebra is also useful in future courses as well as finding the Determinant. I still use linear algebra in my Electrical Engineering courses today. I received an A in this class.

Awesome, Excellent, Great Tutor

Michael has been a God send. I am growing leaps and bounds because of his excellent teaching method and skills. He taught in a way that I would learn the material. My frustration with Math has always been retaining the skills and knowledge to be able to take the math tests and know what the steps I needed to do to pass the test, but I never seemed able to do that and would freeze and then the anxiety would take over. With Michael's patience, understanding, and his awesome teaching, I am not only learning I am retaining the math skills. I walked away from our tutoring sessions floating on cloud 9 and feeling so proud of myself. Michael is truly an asset to your company and a blessing for his students.
