Hi, I’m TJ!

I am a Biomedical Engineer holding a BS in Bioengineering with a focus on Tissue Engineering from Temple University.

I am proud of what I’ve achieved and excited for the future to come, but I know as well as anyone, the road to success isn’t always smooth. I have had more than my fair share of instances struggling with classes and understand the frustration!

I have found, however, that a bit of personalized, one-on-one guidance goes a long way towards overcoming obstacles. I am here to be that person I needed most when struggling in school, showing students how to look at problems from a different perspective, gain confidence in themselves and their coursework, and realize true success in their objectives.

I have successfully worked with levels elementary through adult in subjects including but not limited to algebra, calculus, biology, chemistry, and even musical percussion!

Aside from academics, I spent years as a gymnastics coach working with athletes ages 4-25, taking into consideration student safety, learning style, and individual ability.

My degree has raised my academic experience bar through 3 levels of calculus, differential equations, calculus-based physics and thermodynamics, 4 levels of general and organic chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, tissue and regenerative engineering, and much more.

I am currently working with elementary through high school leveled students anywhere from 1-5 hours with each student on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. I am as engaging as possible, always willing to bring along added science demonstrations when I can!

I will consider college level or otherwise adult students on a case by case basis, depending on the coursework requiring assistance.

I always build lessons on an individual basis, catering to each student’s specific objectives with a foundation provided by the academic institution they are attending. Flexibility is key, and I gladly accept feedback and suggestions from students and parents at all times. Feel free to contact with specific questions or to schedule a lesson! I always do my best to respond within a reasonable time frame.

Thank you for your consideration!

Knowledgeable and patient

TJ is an excellent tutor. He gives the student time to figure out the problems and show different ways of getting the answer. He shows what would be the next thing coming so that the student will have an idea when it is introduced in class. My student is comfortable with TJ and is opening up to him. Having a male tutor is good for a young man. He's a good mentor.
