Westminster College (English)
Ever since I began school at age five, I've loved everything about it. I have a natural desire to learn and an insatiable quest for knowledge. For me, learning is a lifelong goal. My after school hours, weekends and summer vacations were spent reading, tutoring, learning and teaching. In education, I appreciate both the value of learning and the fulfillment of helping others.
Having the opportunity to share subjects I know and love with students who have a genuine desire to learn and improve brings a smile to my face. When teaching, I cater to students' needs in the most efficient and personal way possible. I treat each pupil as the individual they are, while providing encouragement and patience throughout the learning process. Most importantly, teaching and helping others are two things I have a strong passion for, which ensures success on both the teacher and student's behalf.
I studied English and public relations at Westminster College, completing my Bachelor of Arts degree in 2014. In addition to a repertoire of literature and writing classes I was a part of in college, I also served as editor for my college newspaper and yearbook. Additionally, I spent time tutoring children from the local school districts, helping with reading, writing, and grammar homework. In high school, I enrolled in every AP English class offered, so I am familiar with the highest level of high school English curriculum, excelling greatly and winning the "Top Writer" award for my senior class.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
