I am currently teaching Algebra to 8th graders in the School District of Philadelphia, in Northeast Philadelphia. I have been repeated told that one of my biggest strengths is my ability to make connections. If I can connect the curriculum to something that is interesting to a student, they have a much higher attention span, and are more willing to stay focused and retain new information. I have also been told that I will never give up on letting the students succeed. I know that every individual learns in a unique way, so if I see that what I had planned is not working, I will not be afraid to try a different method to help each student understand.
