Hello! I'm Aaron, and I would be excited to be your tutor! I graduated Cum Laude from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) with my Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering, specializing in Biomechanics. Throughout college, I began to understand and appreciate to necessity of tutoring to supplement my learning in lecture classes.
I have a year of tutoring experience at the college level. After I graduated college, I tutored subjects, such as Chemistry and Anatomy, at a local community college. I tutored students on a one-on-one basis as well as in group settings. My approach to tutoring is to have the student guide the lesson, asking questions and practicing problems and concepts during our session. After I understand what topics that the student needs assistance with, I like to refer to the student's notes and/or any textbook to further explain the topic. My approach is to start at the most basic element of the topic and reinforce the concepts in a step by process. I really enjoy helping students succeed in their studies!
With my background in Engineering, I took various complex math courses. I believe that it is very important to understand the basics of math before tackling the higher level courses. I like to break down each math problem into its basic components to be able to reach the solution with a clear and explicit direction to how it was solved.
My degree blends the knowledge from both the maths and sciences, and throughout my undergraduate coursework, I took various science courses in addition to the math and engineering courses that made up most of my curriculum, including both Chemistry and Anatomy. I excelled in both of these subjects and find the concepts very interesting. I have prior experience tutoring these two subjects at the college level.
I find it really fascinating to learn a second language. Throughout middle school and high school, I took 5 years of Spanish, Spanish 1 through 4 and Advanced Placement Spanish. To continue my interest in learning Spanish, I took a convers
