About Ryan

I currently am working as Assistant Baseball Coach for the West Chester University Golden Rams in West Chester, Pennsylvania. During my first year in 2012, we tied a school record with 46 wins and captured the first National Championship for West Chester, as well as for the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.

Prior to West Chester, I worked as Baseball Operations Manager at All-Star Baseball Academy in Warminster, Pennsylvania. As Baseball Operations Manager I worked very closely with local leagues and organizations selling, scheduling, planning, and implementing workouts for over 60 local Little League and Senior League teams ranging in ages from 5-18. In my position, I also scheduled, planned, and implemented dozens of seasonal camps and clinics throughout the local area, as well as scheduling and overseeing over 700 lessons throughout our facility each month. Personally, I perform 100-150 lessons per month with athletes ranging in age from 5-18, along with coaching 3-4 teams per year.

In August of 2010, I completed my coursework towards my Masters Degree in Sports Management at Millersville University. During my time at Millersville I served as the volunteer assistant baseball coach, worked as a fitness instructor, and worked directly with student-athletes as supervisor of athletic study hall.

Prior to Millersville, I received my undergraduate degree from Mansfield University in May of 2008 with a BS in Mathematics, as well as a minor in Computer Science. While at Mansfield as a walk on, I played shortstop for Coach Harry Hillson. During my time there, I was a three-time all-PSAC selection at shortstop, team captain, and finished my career in 2008 with a Rawlings Regional Gold Glove and Honorable Mention Division II All-American status. Following my graduation in 2008, I signed with the Windy City Thunderbolts in the Frontier League.

Throughout the years at my many levels of competition and coaching, the experience has afforded me the opportunity to gain a wealth of knowledge as well as the interpersonal skills to communicate with a diverse group of individuals.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
