Hello! My passion for education in physics began with my love of astronomy. I started my undergrad as an astrophysics major, but it soon led to an interest strictly within physics. Although I had no intentions of educating, an acquaintance asked if I would teach a physics course at a local college, I agreed and have loved it ever since! Later I went on to get an MEd in Learning design and Technology.

Although I had no intentions of educating, an acquaintance asked if I would teach a physics course at a local college, I agreed and have loved it ever since! Later I went on to get an MEd in Learning design and Technology.

For the past seven years I have been teaching college level physics, including statics and astronomy, and from time to time, tutored high school students. Additionally, for the past two years, I have been an online Honors Physics instructor for a program through Johns Hopkins University. As an instructor, I am not only educating gifted minds all over the globe, but also had the opportunity to create content and redesign the curriculum for the course. Physics fascinates me, which is why I enjoy educating others on this field of science.

It is understandable that this can be a challenging subject to learn, especially with all the complicated formulas and concepts. However, I believe sometimes it helps for students to hear it from a different perspective, which is what I aim to do when possible. It is easy to reach me, and my response is fairly quick. Please contact me if you need any further information, or would like to schedule a lesson!

Great tutor

Erin has been working with my daughter and really helping her in physics! She is able to explain concepts clearly and in a way that students really understand. My daughter has been asking for more sessions with Erin because for the first time she is really understanding the concepts and doing better in her class. Erin, thank you for everything you are doing to help her out! My appreciation is beyond words.
