About Kevin

My name is Kevin and I have a master's degree in Divinity. I have pastored a denominational church for the last 15 years and have experiential knowledge in subjects such as: photography, public speaking, general study skills, student motivation, world religions, ethics, pastoral counseling, church history, Bible exegesis, Old and New Testament and hermeneutics. I was an adjunct professor for four years, teaching African American Christian History. Formerly, I spent 8 years in the field of hospice as a Spiritual Care Coordinator and Bereavement Counselor, and have extensive knowledge in grief counseling and subjects related to thanatology and palliative care.

I have extensive experience in writing and literary forms. I am a former photography major out of the Rochester Institute of Technology; education major out of the Central Virginia Community College; and MDiv major out of the Lancaster Theological Seminary. I am willing to do whatever I can to help you succeed and become totally proficient in your course of study. I am married and have 4 adult children; all college graduates - Randolph Macon College, Longwood College, Norfolk State University and Virginia Commonwealth University.

Approved subjects

Bible Studies

I graduated with a Master's in Divinity from the Lancaster Theological Seminary in Lancaster, Pa. with established proficiencies in Old and New Testament survey, Church History and Bible Interpretation.

Career Development

I was employed by the Single Point Of Contact (SPOC) program, through the Susguehanna Employment and Training Corp (SETCO) in 1991. My duties were to counsel and provide educational and employment opportunities for public assistance recipients in the State of Pennsylvania. My skill set includes extensive career development acquisition skills, contact to employers in both the public and private sectors, resume development and appropriate interviewing skills were utilize to help our clients to become employment ready.


I began playing drums for Camp Curtin Junior High Band in Harrisburg, Pa. in 1969. I graduated to trap-set drumming at 13 years of age and am now 55. Played drums for the worship ten of my local church for five years. I've taught several students I drum theory over the adult years of my life.

Martial Arts

I began studying Ishinryu karate at age 7 acquiring the brown belt, and am now studying tae kaon do.


I am an undergraduate photography major completing studies in bio-medical photography and photographic illustration. I graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1976...I was employed by the Babcock and Wilcox company in Lynchburg, Va., working with their R&D division as a research photographer for 5 yrs....I was employed by AMP, Inc. for research photography in 1977...I won Best In Show for a photo entry in the Kaliedescope Art Show in 1979...previously, I established a wedding photography business called "Nostalgia Photo".....my subjects of completion include: the materials and processes of photography, photographic esthetics, darkroom techniques, composition, bio-medical photo 1,2,3; studio techniques, photographic illustration 1,2,3 and view camera techniques....I studied under the accomplished authorships of Dr. Holis Todd and Dr. Les Strobel.

Public Speaking

I have been a Christian minister, exercising the preaching ministry for 35 years. I pastored a large urban church in Lancaster, Pa. for 15 years.


I acquired a Master's degree in Divinity from the Lancaster Theological Seminary in 2004. I received a 3.5 gpa and became proficient in the study of world religions. I acquired the Schaeffer Award in excellency in religious studies an was the president of the Inter-faith Ministerium in Lancaster, Pa.

Study Skills

I designed the Urban Motivational Youth Program. The program specialized in helping urban students become proficient in basic educational requirements. Assistance in tutoring and homework help was realized by students in after-school programming. I also developed a program called K.E.E.P. - Kidz Evaluated for Educational Progress.

Track & Field

I ran track for Milton Hershey School for 4 yrs., lettering in track and field events. I was the first African American student to compete in the 330 intermediate hurdles in 1974. I was a sprinter and high-jumper, and served as the Deputy Recreation Director of the City of Harrisburg Department of Recreation from 1991-1998. I developed a local church urban track program, and am the first clergyman to have a local church registered as a member of the Pa. Recreation and Parks Society, competing in the Hershey Track and and Field Program annually.
