In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I currently work at a partial hospitalization program that works with children who have moderate to severe behavioral and emotional difficulties such as ADHD, ODD, Mood disorder, Conduct Disorder. bipolar disorder, and so on. I am trained in Safe Crisis Management, Life space Crisis training, sanctuary therapy training, and am currently being training in teacher child interaction therapy.
I graduated Wilkes University with a Reading Minor and then received my graduate degree in Reading with a Reading Specialist Certification.
