Do you want to shine as a writer? To improve your ability to write succinctly and creatively? Whether essay writing, stories, speeches, a first novel or school work, I can help.
I studied Art History, English and languages at the University of Pennsylvania and then made a feature film! I have been the artist in residence at a private school and taught Advanced English at an independent school in Newark DE.
I have taught middle school students to find their writer's voice.
I'm an incredible writer. I have three compilations of short stories and poems and more importantly am a great teacher. I also love Art History and all languages.
I lived in Bologna, Italy and continue to practice my Italian whenever I can. I also speak Latvian.
So many adolescents have a great deal to say but fear the writing process. I work with students to practice persistence, patience and avoid being perfect, the goal is to learn to write and communicate.
I hope to hear from you.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I studied at the University of Pennsylvania in Art History (graduating with honors) and had a career in the contemporary art world. I work with artists weekly and study art passionately. I studied Art Theory in Bologna, Italy. My film has won many art awards.
I completed a feature film and a 37 minute documentary film, Goodnight Ladies. Both shot on film, with animation. One of the films won the Eastman Kodak Award and the other won Best Doc Short in Palo Alto, CA. My film has been screened nationwide and once in Riga, Latvia.
For twenty years I worked in fundraising and communications and was often a speech writer for my CEO or Executive Director. In addition, after I made a film, I traveled widely speaking about the content, film production and film theory. As a writer and poet, I read aloud at readings and am often in the public eye. Furthermore, I met with thousands of donors over the years and to raise money requires public speaking and strong communication skills.
I directed and produced two films. When I lived in NYC, I had a cinematographer, a sound editor, an animator, an editor, production assistants and a gaffer on staff. I raised the production funds, donor by donor, grant by grant, and learned every aspect of film production. My film won the Eastman Kodak Award for cinematography.
