Grove City College (Music Education)
I am currently a senior at Grove City College studying music education. I have a concentration in the French Horn and have some experience teaching private lessons on that instrument. I have also tutored reading and have experience teaching general music classes. I find enjoyment in tutoring because one-on-one teaching provides countless benefits students do not get in classroom settings and nothing is more rewarding for a teacher than getting to know students and watching them excel.
I have maintained a very honorable GPA in both my music-specific and general education courses at Grove City College. For three years, I have served as principle Horn player of the college orchestra, chamber orchestra, wind ensemble, and concert band. I also served as student director of the college brass and woodwind quintets, horn ensemble, and pit orchestra. Recently, I was selected to be student conductor of the Grove City College Orchestra, which includes rehearsals and a performance. In the spring, I will be auditioning for graduate studies in orchestral conducting at a few universities with the hope of furthering my education through a masters program in conducting.
I thoroughly enjoy learning about music history and theory myself, and I am very excited to teach others those subjects. I love music and all that it has to offer as an academic study and look forward to helping others seeking to broaden their understanding of the fine art. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have learned and developed my tango dance skills over three years. I performed two choreographed tangos in the past for college dance productions and created my own tango choreography for a production. I have taught tango to groups of people and individuals on several occasions.
