While most of my professional experience is teaching middle school students, I do have experience in teaching the lower grade students as well. In addition, I have elementary age children and follow their learning and curriculum closely. I'm always looking for new and innovative ways to teach major concepts to them in a fun and exciting way. I believe that my professional and personal experience working with children demonstrates my exemplary qualifications as an elementary tutor. I know the expectations of students who are presently enrolled in the elementary level and know where they need to be as a middle school student.

Please contact me with your questions and concerns, as I am happy to provide more information. I believe that all children can learn with a little creativity, patience, and dedication. I'd love to schedule a tutoring session with you and your student to help him or her achieve success!

I have 10 years of experience teaching 6th – 8th grade students in a brick/mortar middle school setting. In addition, I have 10 years teaching as an adjunct professor in the master program for Instructional Technology at a local university, both in a face to face environment and online environment. Finally, I have 7 years of experience as a cyber-school teacher, working from home, managing students in grades 6-12 in an all-inclusive cyber environment. My experience in the brick/mortar environment and the online environment have developed strong communication skills both synchronously and asynchronously. I’m extremely motivated, detail-oriented, disciplined to get the job done, and follow through with a task until completion. I work hard and strive to reach my fullest potential. Flexibility, an open mind, and thinking outside of the box are all qualities needed for success. If faced with a challenging situation whether it is a last minute project, an upcoming deadline or a disgruntled parent, I go the extra mile to ensure a win-win outcome. I’m extremely organized, apply 110% effort, and strive to develop positive, professional relationships with co-workers, district personnel, students, and parents. Lastly, my experience and love of teaching have brought me to the tutoring world. Through volunteer work at my daughter's elementary school, I see the need for tutors in this highly competitive society. I'd love to work with your student to open the doors of success for them!

Often times, many teachers look over teaching and developing study skills. Along with teaching basic concepts, it is equally important to spend time developing essential study skills habits to develop highly effective students. Based upon my professional and personal experience, I have learned what it takes to help students focus on specific objectives, comprehend material from the text utilize their learning styles, and effectively use their time wisely. Within my study skills tutoring sessions, I plan to prepare students for the tools they need to succeed.
