Hello! I've been a teacher for Baltimore City Public Schools for the last eight years. I recently moved to Manassas with my husband to raise our son. I'm passionate about education, and I love helping students achieve their potential. I've worked with students of all ages from preschool to adult. My tutoring students make quick progress and enjoy learning. I can't wait to work with you!

My math experience includes graduate Algebra, Geometry, and Statistics & Probability classes with Professor/Math Guru James Tanton. In addition to that, I've taken a graduate Economics class at Towson University. My background also includes attending several math workshops (including a week long workshop on Common Core Math) and facilitating math professional development for Baltimore City teachers. I have an extra certification in Middle School Mathematics, and I've taught math to students in grades 3-6. I've tutored students in several high school math classes including Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry.

My reading experience includes several classes from Towson University in the Reading Specialist program. I've also attending workshops and professional development for reading. My teaching experience is for all grades 1-6. I have spent a lot of time helping struggling readers learn to love reading!

When it comes to editing papers, I'm top notch. I can help you through the entire writing process. I've edited dozens of college papers, and three A+ graduate theses. I'm happy to share my writing with you if you'd like to see a sample. When I edit, I try to ask questions and give options, instead of just marking it up with a red pen. I want your writing to be YOUR best work.

SAT math tutoring is a new challenge for me, but I'm happy to report that my first student was a smashing success. We'll work through practice tests, discuss strategies, and cover the basic math knowledge you need to improve your score. It's grueling work, but I'll patiently work through it with you.

Great with kids!

Natalie is a very professional Tudor. She is doing a great job with our daughter. My daughter loves learning with her!

Caring and instructional

Natalie first took some time to understand what I knew in geometry and what was problematic. She listened to my explanations and questions and gave me some ideas to work on before the next test. We also did a lot of SOL review questions from old released SOL tests. She was nice and not judgmental.
