B.A. Penn State (Elementary Education)
Cabrini College (Master's)
I have always enjoyed helping others learn and grow, especially in Reading and Math. I graduated from Penn State with my degree in Elementary Education and since then have taught Kindergarten, 2nd, and 5th grade. I went back to school to get my Master's in Reading. Currently, I am a Reading Specialist and I really enjoy working in small groups with children. I also have my middle school math certification (7-9).
When tutoring students, I try to engage them in activities where they do not even know they are learning. I will help with homework, but I try to make time for building on new skills to get them ahead of the game in their class. I take pride in my organization and planning. I make sure that what I am working on aligns with what my students are doing in their classroom and I have no problem collaborating with the teacher.
I can't wait to hear from you and begin our journey together!

For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
