I have over twenty-five (25) years of experience as a Trooper and a supervisor with the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP). I have a strong desire to share my experiences, training and education with others who are interested in the law enforcement field. The best way I feel I can do that is by becoming a tutor to others who have a sincere interest in pursuing a career in the law enforcement field. I have numerous training certifications in the law enforcement field from various certified training programs, both from PSP and outside accredited law enforcement training programs. I also have extensive experience in testifying in court, interviewing witnesses and interrogating suspects. I have worked as a uniform Trooper on the road and as a plain clothes criminal investigative Trooper, strictly investigating criminal incidents. Over my career I have received several "Trooper of the Month" awards in recognition for outstanding criminal investigative work. I served as a Station Custodial Officer in charge of investigative evidence and property room. All of these areas have afforded me experiences in the law enforcement field which I choose to share with aspiring criminal justice students.
I have a bachelor of arts degree in Criminal Justice Administration. I also have a masters degree in Public Administration which I pursued while employed with the PSP.
I also have experience as a probation officer and a retail security manager. These jobs afforded me experience in the probation and retail loss prevention fields. In the probation field I prepared and submitted pre-dispositional investigative reports and recommendations to the judge based on data obtained. I testified in court hearings, established and maintained contacts with families, friends and social agencies, employers and clergy which assisted probationers in their social adjustment to the community. I choose to share these experiences in tutorial sessions with criminal justice students.
In 2011 I received Homeland Security Training while employed as a Protective Services Officer, protecting the assets and personnel property of federal installations.
I also have certification in Act 235-Lethal Weapons Training Act-which entitles me to carry a firearm while employed as a protective services officer at designated security sites.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
