I am a certified teacher. I have a Bachelor's of Science degree in Elementary Education which covers grade K through 6. I am also certified to teacher middle school mathematics. I have substituted for 2 years, including 2 long term substitute positions in grades 2 and 4. During my time as a substitute, I worked in districts all over Chester and Lancaster County. I've subbed at the elementary and middle school level. Then, I took a year off from working to stay home with my children. Now, I am a reading and math aide. I currently work in grades 1, 3, 4, 5, and 6.
I am interested in tutoring your child in math or reading to improve their skills. I would be willing to travel to your house and tutor in the summer. I am always available week days at or after 6:30 or Sundays at or after 6:30. There are 1 to 2 days a week that I am available after 4, but those days change each week. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
