Westminster Seminary (Enrolled)
I am a recent graduate of Vanderbilt University ('09) where I received a Bachelor's degree in both Elementary Education and Political Science. After teaching 6th grade for the past two years (social studies and math), I am currently enrolled in Westminster Seminary in Glenside, pursuing an M.Div and hoping to further use my gifts to God's glory.
I am also currently co-leading the senior high youth group at the church I attend (Lansdale PCA). I love working with kids and especially getting one on one interaction, where the most productive gains may be accomplished. I like to first establish what goals, hopes, strengths, and concerns each student has, and then move forward together to establish a plan to get to the desired destination. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
