Dear Families and Students,
My name is Sarah and I am a passionate and dedicated fourth grade teacher with a MEd in individualized learning. I am certified to teach grades 1-6 and am taking classes to enhance my math teaching strategies. I love working with children to ensure that they can confidently master concepts that might seem challenging at first! Your success is my greatest joy!
I have taught reading at both the first and fourth grade reading levels. So not only have I taught students to learn to read, I have also taught them to read TO learn. I have had students with many learning/reading challenges in my past classes and have seen breakthroughs across the board.
I am fully qualified to tackle common core standards, while also taking a more traditional approach to the same learning standards.
Elementary education is my heart and soul. I teach all subjects, and I do so with a fun twist and high demands for my students.
Please do not hesitate to contact me to set up a tutoring session and to schedule Summer lessons to prepare your child for their next grade level in August/September! Dear Families and Students,

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am a certified elementary teacher in three states and have taught both first and fourth grades over the years. I have tutored across the elementary subjects as well. I have attended various trainings and professional development sessions to improve my craft and I have a M.Ed. in teaching for individual learning differences.
