About Jules

I'm a junior History/English double major, Civil War Era Studies/Public History double minor at Gettysburg College.

As a Public History minor, I have taken several courses in anthropology and archaeology, as well as having a personal interest. In addition, I've worked at the Seminary Ridge Museum and with the Musselman Library Special Collections staff, giving me the opportunity to have first hand experience with a variety artifacts.

At Gettysburg College, I am currently serving as the PR Manager for the Gettysburgian student newspaper and the Head of Public Relations for Habitat for Humanity, as well as participating in a large portion of the social media and marketing strategies for her Campus at Gettysburg College.

In addition to running the marketing campaigns for both my blog and fitness endeavors, I have gained a thorough understanding of marketing through my internship experience with the Seminary Ridge Museum, in which I spent a portion of time working on social media and marketing skills.

In addition to being actively involved in a variety of activities on campus, I'm highly engaged with my academic pursuits. I graduated high school in the top five percent of my class and have maintained lofty personal standards in college, making the Dean's List among other honors.

I've always found myself eager to help others and to share the knowledge I've gained with those who want to learn it. I've had years of experience working with students and others in both professional and informal settings and in various capacities, ranging from babysitting to recreational programs. I love the instant in which a student fully comprehends a concept for the first time---that "lightbulb" moment makes all of the struggling worth it.

In addition to my formal English major, I've been an avid reader and writer throughout my life. I work with a variety of publications on campus, including the Gettysburg chapter of Her Campus Media, which I founded in 2015. Additionally, I've worked on freelance editing projects outside of academia and run a personal blog to maintain my writing finesse.

If you think I'd be the right tutor for you, reach out. I can't wait to get to know you and help you to succeed.

For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
