In undergrad, I received a dual degree from Lafayette College in Physics with a minor of mathematics, and Philosophy. I proceeded to the University of Pennsylvania, Graduate School of Education to pursue my Masters of Science degree in Education. I am certified to teach secondary mathematics in the state of Massachusetts, and I have taught secondary math and physics for the last four years in different independent schools. I teach and am specialized in both fundamental courses (Pre-Algebra to Algebra 2, algebra based physics), as well as the upper limits of the secondary curriculum (Calc AB/BC, AP Physics, Multivariable Calculus, etc.).
I have an international certification in Peer Tutoring, and have worked with students ranging from fifth grade to seniors in high school, with great successes. I focus on cultivating the student's problem solving skills, as much as building their confidence in themselves while solidifying fundamental content knowledge and expertise. I find that most students need specific and personalized guidance, and I work to ensure that each student is understood and feel understood by me, and we can work to develop personalized plans of studying that will work for you.
