My name is Rosa J. and I am a recent graduate from Ramapo College of New Jersey where I majored in both music and Italian with a minor in French. I have studied abroad three times: in the year of 2014 I travelled to France where I lived there for four months and attended l'Université Rennes II in the city of Rennes, Brittany; I travelled the summer of 2015 to Urbino, Italy to attend L'Universita di Urbino (Exactly one year after that I went to Urbino again to study abroad). My name is Rosa J. and I am a recent graduate from Ramapo College of New Jersey where I majored in both music and Italian with a minor in French. I have studied abroad three times: in the year of 2014 I travelled to France where I lived there for four months and attended l'Université Rennes II in the city of Rennes, Brittany; I travelled the summer of 2015 to Urbino, Italy to attend L'Universita di Urbino (Exactly one year after that I went to Urbino again to study abroad). I traveled to Brazil and Sorrento, Italy for separate week long academic conferences, and I am native from Dominican Republic although I have lived in the United States for most of my life.

Some people like to sit down and learn things with paper, so I sit down and explain things at their pace. I personally create my lesson material and I cater every single lesson to the specific student because I know that people are individuals and they each learn different.

I know the frustrations of learning a language, as well how to overcome them. As a person that has been learning and studying four languages, I know certain tricks to retain information.

I minored in French at Ramapo College of New Jersey, and during that period I studied abroad at the University of Rennes II in Brittany, France. While studying there, I lived with a host family.

I majored in Italian at Ramapo College of New Jersey, and I have traveled to Italy twice during my time at Ramapo; both times for which I studied Italian literature and history intensively. These programs took place at the University of Urbino in the small city of Urbino, Italy, where I was invited both times by my mentor and professor. I also spent some time in the city of Sorrento, just south of Naples for an academic conference in which I did a presentation on immigration in modern Italy. I have spent much of the time during my Italian education reading literature and studying Italian history, which I believe has made me better understand the regional differences and dialects of Italy, of which there are many. I am confident that I could be of significant help to others wishing to learn Italian and I would be excited to meet students seeking assistance with the language.

Amazing Teacher!

Rosa J. is an amazing teacher! She has great teaching process which exemplifies the idea of grammar, conversational, and vocabulary perfection. When I first started my lessons with Rosa J. I knew little to no Italian; however now I can converse and understand beginner Italian and I know hundreds of words! She also helps a lot within and outside of lessons with confusing topics and remembering words. I definitely recommend her programs to anyone looking for a fantastic and professional language teacher.

Rosa is outstanding!

Rosa has been an amazing tutor for me while I was struggling through my high level French course. She was flexible with my schedule and created specific lessons based on my needs. Going into a higher level French course after not studying the language was very intimidating for me so I reached out to Rosa. She was patient with me while we worked through basics to get me to the level needed for my class. She was incredibly knowledgeable of the language so I was able to trust in her abilities. When signing up for the class I had expected to be barely passing but with the help of Rosa, my professor has been praising me on things like pronunciation, vocabulary, and conjugations. She is an outstanding tutor and I would recommend her to students of all levels.
