It is my goal to support, encourage and motivate students to their fullest potential. I have been in the school system since 2007, as an associate teacher and now as a substitute teacher. In January, I receive my Masters in Elementary Education with a 3.86 GPA. I am a supporter of hard work because I made it through graduate school through hard work, while working full time. So only hard work and dedication will help a student who is not doing well in a particular subject to turn that challenge around into something to be proud of.
I tutor in elementary reading, math, writing, vocabulary and study skills. All tutoring sessions are challenging but not to the point of causing stress. Students will realize their greatness through hard work and perseverance. I offer homework to allow students to support their progress over time as well as periodic assessments for parents and students to gauge improvements in their challenging academic areas.
Classes are offered in quiet areas such as local libraries or community centers, or in a location that is convenient for the student and their family.
I ask for a 24-hour cancellation notice and offer make-up sessions.
Please take the time to consider me as a part of the team necessary for excellence and greatness inside the classroom; as I provide that needed support outside the classroom.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
