DeSales University and Northampton Community (Business and Biology)
Hello! My name is Richard,(Rick)B. I am thankful I have found my way, through my career-path, into educating, tutoring, teaching and watching 100's of collegiate students reap the rewards of remaining teachable with an open mind to suggested study habits, methods and time commitments. There's little more satisfying then mentoring, observing and ultimately teaching young men and women how to finish above their own expectations and goals.
In my previous life I coached football/baseball and was a production worker at Maier's Bakery in Easton, Pennsylvania. I was forced to drop-out in the middle of my junior year at ESU, East Stroudsburg University after finding out my wife was expecting. Education was the ticket out of the realm of average but those opportunities were only given to management and those workers that stood out by their performance, commitment and leadership abilities.
I began my quest that day. After 3 years as a laborer I was promoted to higher level production tasks and the associated responsibilities and within 7 years, Maier's paid my tuition to enroll in DeSales University for a B.A. in Management, attended Kansas State University for my Baking Degree and was promoted to Superintendent at Maier's.
After 19 years at Maier's I was recruited by "Headhunters" to become a production consultant for such corporations as McDonald's, Ben & Jerry's and Europe's Unilever, and was fortunate to travel the U.S., Europe and parts of Asia.
Upon returning I found my children grown and my parents aged. I promised them, no convalescent home and enrolled in and was accepted into NCC's R.N. program after 62 mandatory credits, earning a 3.93 GPA. I continue to attend college and also I am a Anatomy/Physiology, Microbiology, Human Biology, Bio I, Bio II tutor in an "open-lab" setting at the college with access to microscopes, slides, models, etc. I have tutored business courses, chemistry and some computer techniques in the private sector as well.
Thanks for taking the time reading my life's experiences and qualifications. Given the opportunity, I would be honored to enhance, improve and aide you or your loved one to the top tier group academically which will open many doors to you for future growth and goal attainment.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I attended anatomy I & II as a prerequisite for acceptance into the R.N. program at NCC, (Northampton Community College). It was, "love at first sight"! After earning an A in both courses and helping fellow students I was recommended for, then asked to become a biological science subject tutor on staff. I have tutored 2 full years, 28-30 hours/week. Over 300 tutor evaluations were submitted after fall, 2013 with many comments crediting my tutoring improving the student's grade a full letter.
I have passed the chemistry exams to qualify as a tutor with all test scores in the 90's.
Along with several years of tutoring and interacting with students I have 9 years coaching experience and have 3 very successful children, all with graduate degrees in economics and medicine.
