Individuals who have ADP have difficulty processing and recalling language-related tasks. The following are a few successful strategies for
teaching those who have ADP:
--Reword or translate to help the student
understand confusing oral or written directions.
--Utilize visual cues or signals to assist in comprehension.
--Have the student verbalize or show understanding of directions, concepts, and vocabulary.
--Allow adequate "think time" to respond, approximately 5 to 10 seconds.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in English and Psychology from East Stroudsburg University (graduated with high honors).
I have also completed graduate-level courses in Psychology toward my Master's Degree at Marywood College.
