I have a PhD from University of Pittsburgh and a degree in Exercise Science from Bloomsburg University. I'm going into my 6th year of teaching A&P to undergraduate students pursuing healthcare professions at a major university in Philadelphia. I pride myself in making time for my students and helping them understand and apply the material that they are required to learn. Most of all, I believe I make the process very fun!
I teach at a variety of levels to students of all ages and backgrounds, and like to think I'm particularly good at developing study skills and helping you relate to A&P in whatever way makes the most sense to you! In addition to A&P, I can help you with physiology, pathophysiology, exercise physiology and nutrition based courses. I have led group study sessions and spent many hours one-on-one with my students in preparation for exams.

Krista helped me prepare for my first week of A&P II so that I would have a leg up on the material. We went through my professor's slideshow together and discussed the concepts with drawings and examples. Krista is very easy to get a hold of for lesson planning and willing to meet you have way for a lesson. Finally, she not only knows the material front and back, but can break it down in easy to learn terms. Great lesson. Highly recommend!
Krista tutors me for my exercise science classes. I really like how she helps me understand the material as a whole, and not just in parts. She really explains everything in a way that helps me learn personally, as well as way to remember certain information. Krista is definitely the best tutor I have ever had.
Krista's explanations were clear and concise. She is very advanced in her knowledge and came to our session with practice questions to help me prep for an upcoming exam. Highly recommended!
Krista has a wonderful personality as well as a "get it done" attitude! She will make sure you understand the material and challenges you to think outside the box! She is amazing and recommend her to anyone with a committed attitude!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
