My name is Sarah and I graduated with an Elementary Education (k-6th) teaching degree. I have worked with kids since I was in high school when I started with just volunteering. I have tutored kids at local elementary schools while in college at their after school programs. After graduating I have taught in day care preschool settings, substitute taught for two main school districts and was the director of a summer camp the past two summers. I am current a tss worker and have been working with behavioral/ autistic children. It has been a great experience to watch a child improve their behavior when you make a connection with them. Also, I have a niece and nephew in elementary school that I help with their homework when I watch them. I really enjoy helping kids that struggle and had great teachers who positively impacted me with their help with my education. I am excited to help kids so that they can succeed and have more confidence in school.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I graduated from Bloomsburg University with my bachelor's in Elementary Education(k-6th). I have substitute taught for 5 years at multiple school districts, worked as a TSS with behavioral and autistic children, and directed a summer camp. I am well rounded in each subject area and have been given many recommendations from supervisors and co-workers.
