Bio

While I was in undergrad, I was a TA for microbiology. I helped students in the lab with techniques, safety, designing experiments, and understanding the science behind what we were doing. I also helped students in the classroom by finding useful resources, planning out papers, and preparing for exams.

I currently work in a lab as a technician where I not only perform my own experiments and bench-top work, I help medical students, residents, and visiting students with techniques and science writing.

While in undergrad, I took a course in microbiology and proceeded to TA for the class for 3 semesters. I fell in love with microbiology, largely in part due to my professor, and that love has carried through to the work that I do today.
Biology has always been a subject that interested me. In high school I took AP Bio, and in college I took two basic biology courses, a seminar course in biology, a genetics course, an evolution course, an animal physiology course, and my senior thesis was microbiology-related.
Many of the classes that I took, and subsequent on-the-job experiences, have dealt with the human body: the different body systems, how the body reacts to different stimuli, how foreign bodies can affect our own, and everything in between.
I also have experience in scientific writing and, more generally, English writing, editing, and proofreading.

Please feel free to reach out any time! I would love to help students flourish and, hopefully, fall in love with biology the same way that I did.
