Hi! I'm Adrienne. I have experience as a classroom teacher, tutor, mentor, writer and business professional; soon, I'll be starting a substitute teaching assignment as well. I have a wide range of interests, including music, reading, sports (Let's Go Pens!), puzzles of all sorts, family, friends and most of all my dog. I've always loved school and still enjoy learning new things.
I have a passion for helping others and seeing others grow and succeed. In college, I was a mentor to incoming freshman students and helped to acclimate those in my group to the college way of life, as well the culture of our school. I was also a writing and study skills tutor for several years. My experience as a classroom teacher includes my student teaching as a grade 7 literature teacher, then I taught language arts in my own classroom at the high school and middle school levels. My experience in the business world gave me opportunities to prepare and deliver presentations and training material for both large and small groups, write blogs, email messages and articles, design basic web pages and edit a variety of material.
I have an eye for errors, a love for grammar and a love for the English language.
I look forward to meeting you and helping you be the best that you can be! Hi! I'm Adrienne. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
