BIOGRAPHY
An expert at quickly assessing the skill level of each student during her sessions, Rebecca O. takes care to provide a top-notch personalized approach that harnesses the individual's unique strengths and goals so they can begin to unlock their potential for success, always focusing on making progress toward growth and building skills.
Rebecca has been tutoring and teaching students with varying abilities (including Honors/AP and learning disabled), and of all ages—K-12 through college and PhD levels—for 10 years. She studied and practiced teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, which included extensive research and classroom instructional experience with pedagogical methods and strategies.
She has a strong history of working with students to improve and develop their English language and writing skills, as well as vocabulary building and phonics training, at public and private schools such as Sacred Heart University, Southern Connecticut State University, Windham High School, Sweeney Elementary School, and Sage Park Middle School, as well as with students in small groups and 1:1 sessions as a private tutor.
