I am Koffi Kpenou, currently a student at Bryn Mawr College Pa. I am writing my Master's thesis in French on "Rwandan genocide". prior to Bryn Mawr, I graduated from "Universite du Benin" in Togo where I got my Master's in African literature on another social issue "childlessness on married couple" as viewed by some African writers. Before coming to USA, i was a teacher of literature in technical school in Togo for 11 years. In addition I was teaching English in Colleges in Togo for at least 4 years. In the States I have a teaching experience with Philadelphia Alliance Francaise for three school seasons. I am now tutoring a students at Saint Joseph's University. To sum up this field is not new to me and I am always willing to share my experience with students and let them benefit with determination new expertise in learning. My multicultural background will be for any student an assets. My methods of teaching include use books and all new technologies to get the message accross. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
