Lauren is doing a great job helping my daughter with algebra 1 and algebra ll. I would definitely recommend her! She is timely, focused and dedicated! Extremely pleased!

I have learned a lot from Lauren. She is patient and knowledgeable of Mac computers. I have an Ipad Pro, am 69 years old, so you KNOW I didn't grow up using a computer like my children. I am learning to be more adventurous in trying new things with it and want to be able to use it to my best advantage. Lauren is helping me with that.

Lauren helped my child have a better understanding of conversions and the metric systems. It was refreshing to hear my daughter say "she is finally getting it".

Last year, I hired Lauren to tutor my daughter in geometry on a weekly basis for 10th grade. I am hiring her again for my daughter's junior year to tutor her in algebra II. After asking my daughter what she would say about Lauren, this was her response:

"She was great! She is very professional. She helps you understand different math equations and functions and she uses different techniques for each subject. Lauren uses hands-on techniques while using demonstrating how to solve each problem. She is also really nice."

She was awesome. She knew so much of the physics material right off the top of her head. She also explained things in a way I could understand.

Lauren is an excellent tutor--extremely knowledgeable, very patient, and thorough. In addition, she takes the time to prepare for each session in advance in order to make the most efficient and effective use of time. She tutored my daughter in two subjects--chemistry and geometry--and made a significant difference in her ability to grasp the fundamentals of both topics. I was so pleased with the results that I plan to ask Lauren to continue to work with my daughter in both science and math again this school year. I am so grateful that we found her!

Lauren was an incredibly efficient tutor and was immediately able to see exactly where my daughter needed help and how to communicate the information in a way that was compelling and clear. I appreciate her good humor and flexibility as well -- thank you so much!

Lauren had her first tutoring session with my son on AP Chemistry and he definitely walked away with tips and ways to study in the future. Lauren is kind and you can tell she enjoys what she is doing.

My daughter's grades have improved so much that her teacher asked what were we doing to make such an improved. I said LAUREN!! Thank you Lauren.

Lauren's artistic background lends clarity to the tutoring process because she can explain scientific concepts both verbally and visually. She is an amazing tutor.

Solved some issues I was having with Adobe Illustrator, took the time to show me step by step how to use it the correct way. A real pro.

Lauren keeps things interesting and explains things in useful ways that help you remember. She is invested in her students doing well!

My biggest worry in working with a tutor was would s/he know how to teach. It's one thing to know a subject, but being able to teach it is something else entirely. Lauren knows how to teach. She is patient, engaging, and explains things in clear terms. She did a great job of assessing my daughter's skill level in the first session, and she was also good at guiding the session to determine how the time would be spent. My daughter was already less stressed about chemistry after the first visit. Thumbs up!

Great with Math. She's very patient and breaks the math down and makes it look very simple. I highly recommend her to anybody.

Excellent tutor. Punctual, patient, easy to work with. Relates very well with high school students prepping for PSAT and SAT.

Lauren was very helpful with helping me understand a very difficult subject. Going in depth in explaining to me the fundamentals of Algebra II finally gave me a better feel for the class. Although I started out slow, as soon as Lauren began teaching me I became more efficient and progressive with my coursework. If I had to recommend someone to a tutor, the first person I would think of is Lauren.

Lauren is very patient and helped me to reach my goals. She always arrived on time and was easy to reach by email or phone. I would highly recommend her for Lauren is very skilled in many fields.

Lauren has helped both my daughters improve on their test scores. She is highly motivated, patient, and loves what she does. She has flexible hours throughout the week. She is prompt. Highly recommended.

My daughter and Lauren are a perfect fit! My daughter indicated that Lauren's method of teaching Algebra 1 was much easier to understand than the method that is being taught by her teacher. She completed her Algebra homework after her tutoring session and seemed more confident. She looks forward to the next tutoring session with Lauren. I really like Lauren's personality as well, and her price is affordable. My daughter mentioned that Lauren was so good with teaching her Algebra 1 and did not make her feel intimidated. This is music to my ears to see my daughter so happy with her tutor. She may now begin to not hate Algebra 1. Thank you Lauren!

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I work with Adobe Illustrator to create charts, diagrams, and images for myself and for professional work. I've been working with this program since 2009. I also use it to make technical blueprints for 3D modeling and laser-cutting.
