I graduated from Alvernia University in 2016 with a dual Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry and forensic science. I also had a minor in criminal justice administration. I am currently working in the environmental field for an area food processing plant, but have over four years experience working in a laboratory setting.

During my time at Alvernia, I tutored many of peers in writing resumes and cover letters; and conducting mock interviews. I had also led study groups in multiple areas of chemistry, biology, and math courses. As a member of the Science Assocation and the Environmental Club, I completed more than 500 hundred hours of communty service. A lot of this community service was teaching inner city kids all about science through interactive experiments. This entailed great work between planning "lessons" and experiments to keep the kids intrigued. I have even worked with girl scout troops with getting certain badges. This involved reading the badge requirements and planning lessons that would help those girls achieve it.

My tutoring experience goes even further back. While a student in high school, I was the academic assistant director. This meant that I would pair students with tutors based on the students needs. I also helped tutors set up "lesson plans" and helped them to better communicate with the student. I often tutored my peers during this time in many subjects and was the back up tutor if there was a scheduling conflict.

One of my biggest strengths is that I can easily adapt. Not all students are the same, nor do they learn the same. I can easily create personalized plans for the student, and help them reach their educational goals. My favorite part about tutoring is seeing my students accomplish their goals. I think that sometimes, people forget about the student's confidence and I believe that if you can help build that for them, the student can go and accomplish anything they set their mind to.

While earning my B.S. in chemistry and forensic science I took a plethora of math courses. These included probability and statistics, calculus I, and calculus II. I also tutored a lot of students in high school in multiple areas of math including algebra I and II, per-calculus, statistics, geometry, trigonometry and Calculus I.

I graduated college with a Bachelor of Science degree in both chemistry and forensic science. During my undergraduate career I took a multitude of science courses; I was double majoring in two distinct science related degrees after all. These courses included, but not limited to, general chemistry, organic chemistry, physical chemistry, analytical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, forensic toxicology, forensic medicine, forensic biology, forensic chemistry, general biology, genetics and anatomy and physiology. I also worked in the science department of my school as a science laboratory assistant as the chem lead - helping professors set up labs and preparing chemical solutions. For two summers I was a chemistry technician intern for the department of transportation. I have experience working in the food manufacutring industry as a quality assurance lab technician - performing bench chemistry and microbiology.

Writing and reading have always come very easy to me throughout my years in school. In high school I took college level English courses. I was trusted by many teachers, professors, and other peers to proof read. I love helping others become better writers. In college I tutored peers in writing resumes and cover letters.

I would love to help you out and help reach those educational goals you have set for yourself! Let's build up your confidence and show the world what you are capable of! Please do not hesitate to reach out.
