Temple University (Nursing)
If you're looking for an awesome and enthusiastic NCLEX tutor who is an RN with thirty-three (33!) years of experience, you're in the right place! My name is Debbie, and I have a great wealth of knowledge and experience to pull from in order to help you pass NCLEX. I specialize in tutoring students who have failed NCLEX once or multiple times before and are looking for that one thing that will make the difference. That's me- the difference!
I tutor using the NCLEX Simplified method which was developed by my daughter, who is also a tutor. With this method, we have successfully helped many students to pass their NCLEX. It's the best feeling in the world to walk out of that test knowing you aced it, and I'm going to help you get there.
Even before tutoring NCLEX, I have always worked with nursing students to study for their tests in school. My combination of experience and information will make it clear to you what is okay in "NCLEX world" and what is okay in the "real world." Anyone who's studied for NCLEX knows that those are two different things!
My students and I typically meet for two hour sessions. In the first hour, we study information and in the second hour, we go over questions and explore each rationale. You will gain confidence in how to reason through questions and the right way to apply your education.
Contact me today to schedule an initial session. I can't wait to hear from you! Going to Debbie was by far the best thing I could of done to help me pass the NCLEX. I did Kaplan, Hurst, Uworld, Nclex Mastery app, you name it I did it. I failed with 265 questions the first time around. It was heartbreaking, and I was ready to throw in the towel. I am not a quitter so I mourned, and moved on. This where Debbie came in. Her simplified book, handouts, and helpful hints were life savers!!!! It helped make NCLEX questions make sense, and when I took it August 18th 2016 I passed with 75 questions:) I owe her many thanks for helping me get through this terrible test.
I worked with Debbie for several weeks and she helped prepare me to PASS the NCLEX. :) Debbie was always easy to reach and on time. She uses the first hour to review important core content and the second half to improve your test taking skills. As you know, studying for NCLEX can feel overwhelming, given the amount of content you feel like you don't know. Debbie breaks down the material and focuses on the content that you need to know, so you feel successful. She offers interesting ways to remember the information and tries to make frequent connections to reinforce information previously learned. She often connects the material she reviews with questions, so you have the ability not only to learn the information, but also to practice applying the information. I would definitely recommend working with her!
After failing the Nclex a few times I didn't know how or what to study. I found Debbie through WyZAnt and she was incredibly helpful! She really helped me with the need to know information with the help of NCLEX Simplified. We also did questions in the Kaplan and Lippincott books. She helped me to fully read and understand each question and think about what was being asked. She really helped me to prepare and PASS! Thank you, Debbie!
I met Debbie to help me prepare for NCLEX. I needed to brush up on my content and Debbie was able to do that in 6 sessions. She is truly a patient, helpful and made studying for NCLEX 'fun'! She has an amazing positive energy and her knowledge in nursing is great - she provided ways to help me remember things that were important and provided great resources for me to stay on track! In addition to Debbie's tutoring, I also did 75-100 questions every day. I am so thankful she was able to provide the guidance that I needed to succeed - I passed my boards in 75q! Thanks again!
I'm so happy I contacted Debbie to help me prepare for the NCLEX. The book she provides through working with her is ALL the information you need to know for the boards. If you follow her program and do what she says with knowing the book, making flash cards, and answering 100-150 questions a day you will be MORE than prepared and will go into the boards with confidence (which you NEED)! Not only does Debbie have the program you need but she is also so nice and understanding and explains things in ways that you WONT FORGET and you will remember when it comes time for taking the boards! Do yourself a favor and sign up with Debbie, I'm so glad I did, I passed the NCLEX my first time!
After taking the NCLEX multiple times, I was beginning to think I would never pass. I found Debbie through WyZAnt, and I could not be more thankful! She was so helpful! I loved that she was always so well organized and had a new lesson plan for each session! She really guided me through the "need to know" information, and I loved that she challenged me to look at each question and think about them differently then I had in the past. She really gave me the confidence that I needed to conquer the "dreaded" test! Thank you, Debbie!
Debbie is always very helpful, available and consistent with communication. She always very positive and willing to help anytime you need it. She understands the struggles and worries that a nursing student might have to deal with. I recommend her for anyone that is even the least bit nervous for the upcoming exam. I look forward to every appointment I have with her.
I met with Debbie once and she gave me great studying tips and what to focus on for the NCLEX. I would definitely recommend her!
Ms. Debbie was very genuine and kind. She is patient and funny.Debbie was very helpful in my NCLEX tutoring. She got to understand your strengths and weaknesses and cared about you doing well.
Letting you know what to focus on and not overthink it.She was very encouraging and believed you can do it. I am very grateful.
Debbie was exactly what I needed after not passing my NCLEX the first time. She was patient, extremely knowledgeable, and always encouraging. She gave me the confidence and the tools I needed to succeed and pass the test on my second try. The book that she uses is perfect, it provides the most pertinent information without being overwhelming, like other content review books. She was easy to reach and it was easy to schedule appointments. Going over questions with Debbie was extremely helpful because she helped me realize why I got the question wrong and explained the rationale to me, in different ways, if I was still confused. She works with you on your weaknesses and continues encouraging you on your strengths. One of my big problems was that I went through the questions too fast and missed key clues; Debbie really made me slow down, read the question twice and think about what was really being asked. She was not only a great tutor but an amazing support system through the whole the process. With all of Debbie's help and encouragement I passed my test on the second try in only 75 questions!
Debbie is a wonderful tutor. We only met for one lesson so far but I felt confident leaving the library and hopeful that this will really help me pass the NCLEX. Debbie helped me understand content that I have not seen in years. It looked familiar to me but I could not remember all the details. Her explanations and patience made me feel comfortable during our entire lesson. I purchased her daughter's NCLEX simplified book and for the first time in awhile, do not feel completely overwhelmed as I review. I plan to make flash cards, complete as many questions a day as possible and meet with Debbie again in 10 days.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
