Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania (English, Writing)
I graduated in May of 2015 with a BA in English, with a concentration in Writing, and two minors in Technical/Professional Communications and International Studies.
I served as Poetry Editor for our creative literary campus journal, The Reflector, as well as the lead Co-Editor of a poetry chapbook called The Spawningpool.
Currently, I work with Family Design Resources in Human Resources.
During my undergraduate studies I also worked as a peer tutor for the English Department during my senior year. In this role I tutored primarily students who were enrolled in first-year writing classes.
I understand that writing can sometimes feel like a dauntingly abstract skill to learn. I specialize in helping students to hone and refine their writing into organized and thoughtful final results.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
