Hi, my name is Brett. I studied at Lehigh University and obtained my Bachelor in Electrical Engineering. Later, I went to Capital College in Maryland and received my Master in Electrical Engineering. I have enjoyed Math, Physics, and Electrical Engineering for many years. I like to take complex topics and put them into terms that are easy to understand. I worked for AT&T as an engineer for over 22 years and I taught Physics for Scientists and Engineers II at Northampton Community College for 8 years. As a professor, I held online study sessions with my students to help them with questions about their assignments. I am very proficient at demonstrating complex solutions using online tools to advance your knowledge.

My goal in tutoring is not to just teach you a topic. I want to give you tools to be successful. I want you to look at problems in new ways that you may not have thought possible. I also want you to be able to break down a problem into simple tasks that end the end will connect to solve the problem. If you can learn the tools necessary to be successful, it will help you to tackle harder problems later.

To teach Physics, you have to know Math. In my Physics courses, my students had to use Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, and Differential Equations to solve problems. For many problems, multiple topics from each were required to complete the analysis. I can help you to see how to utilize all the topics of Math to solve problems in ways that you have not thought were possible.

My Physics class covered all the electrical engineering topics of electric charges, electric fields, DC circuits, AC circuits, oscillations, magnetic fields, and electromagnetism. I can help with conventional flow or electron flow, for electronic technicians, and can explain analysis techniques such as Superposition, Thevenin, and Norton simplifications. I also understand how SPICE circuit simulation works. I enjoy digital electronics also. I can help with number system conversions, latches, flip-flops, state machine design, and Boolean Algebra. I also have experience using Arduino microprocessors and creating interfaces to input or output information.
