Hello my name is Dan!

I am currently working on a BS in chemistry at East Stroudsburg University after having transferred from Northampton community college with an associates in biological science. I also currently tutor general chemistry 1 and 2, chemistry of life, and organic chemistry 1 at Northampton community college. I have been tutoring chemistry at Northampton for 3 years now in the Science Resource Center.

I have an infinite capacity for patience and I pride myself in the notion that I can help anyone understand chemistry, even a beginner with little to no math background. I'm fully confident in my ability to teach chemistry at the college level with the intent that no question will remain unanswered. There's no greater feeling than helping others succeed where there was doubt.

I discovered my love for chemistry after having passed general chemistry 1 and 2 with high honors. It was then that I decided I wanted to help other students understand the complexities of chemistry so they too could pass chemistry successfully. Over the years of tutoring chemistry, I have strengthened my knowledge base of all material covered in Chem 1 and 2 and decided I was able to teach other chemistry related courses including Chemistry of life, organic chemistry, and chemical calculations.

I would love to help more students discover what chemistry has to offer. My schedule is very flexible so please feel free to contact me and schedule an appointment.

Algebra 1

I've been tutoring all six Chemistry courses offered at Northampton Community College for over 6 years. These are math-intensive courses that require successful applications of College Algebra, Geometry, Statistics, Trigonometry, and Calculus.
Algebra 2,

Algebra 2

I received an A in College Algebra the first time I took the course. Additionally, I’ve been tutoring general chemistry 1 and 2 at the community college I graduated from. Tutoring chemistry there over the last 6 years requires a very good understanding in all algebraic simplifications and derivations as General Chemistry 2 can require some very advanced algebra to answer word problems dealing with chemical kinetics, rate thermodynamics, enthalpy, equilibrium, and Gibs Free Energy. I have also successfully completed and passed Calculus 1, 2 and 3 and feel confident enough to tutor these subject areas as well.
Calculus,

Calculus

I’ve taken calculus 1, 2, and 3 and passed all upon first attempt. Additionally, I’ve been tutoring calculus 1 and 2 for Varsity Tutors for two years, upon successful completion of their calculus competency exam. Additionally, I’ve taken and passed the Wyzant calculus proficiency quiz with 100% score.
