Patient, Capable Tutor
Robert, 37 lessons with JakeI am taking an accelerated 6 week summer calculus class at Columbia, and Jake has been of immense help. The pace is such that absorbing the material in class is very difficult, and Jake has been willing to work through problems with me in a precise, well explained manner that has kept me from feeling discouraged with material that I am not fully comfortable with. I would suggest Jake for anyone that needs a math tutor that is patient, professional and willing to answer the "dumb" questions.

So far, Jake has been a pleasure to work with. He was punctual and ready to start the lesson at the assigned time. Knows his stuff when it comes to math
We were hard-pressed to find a good tutor for our daughter who really knows how to teach - not just knows math....and then we found Jake! His approach is individualized and he's done an incredible job explaining math problems in an easy way for our daughter to understand. His patient and able to relate to the thinking process of our daughter and how she approaches math. I'd highly recommend Jake to any parent needing help with math tutoring for their child.
