DeSales University (Theology)
I am a graduate of DeSales University earning my B.A. in Theology and two minors in Philosophy and Marriage & Family Studies. During my time as an undergraduate, I was my department tutor for four years. Throughout those four years I had tutored a large number of students from various faith backgrounds and experience in the Humanities. Such experience has allowed me to formulate tutoring lessons that can be applicable to any type of student.
I specialize in the areas of Theology and Greek Philosophy but am more than capable of tackling modern philosophy, certain areas of history, literature and writing. A key area that I have studied is Logic & Argumentative Structure. This allows the student and myself to work through essays, research papers, etc., in a syllogistic format and arrive at a logical conclusion so they may grow in the areas of logic and debate and apply those areas to other subject areas.
I have done both one-on-one and group tutoring and have an average of two letter grade increase in my students with repeated tutoring sessions.
I do request feedback and will be more than happy to work with any requests from the student for their benefit.
I am schooled in the areas of logic and philosophy. I am capable to transfer argument skills to writing and improve logical faculties for the benefit of the student. Philosophy allows me to understand various themes in Western literature and examine motive, plot, sentence structure, etc.
One key hobby of mine is penmanship and handwriting. I am a collector of fountain and dip pens which I practice with on a regular basis. I am studying various forms of penmanship styles and am looking to apply them in my daily life.
My B.A. in Theology with two minors in Philosophy and Marriage & Family Studies includes these areas of expertise: New Testament, Genesis, Pauline Epistles, Theology of the Body, Moral Theology.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Throughout my undergraduate years earning my B.A. in Theology at DeSales University, I spent a great deal taking courses and reading independently works that provided insight into the Biblical texts. Such courses include: Gospels, Old Testament, Church History 1 & 2, Pauline Epistles, among my own readings. I have become self-taught in Biblical Greek and Hebrew and am still working to become more fluent in reading said languages.
Throughout my tutoring experience, I have emphasized the use of handwriting to each of my students. I have been studying the art of penmanship, flourishing, and calligraphy for the past two years and have been experimenting with my own pens and dip pens. I emphasize full arm motions and correct posture when using the pen along with particular finger placement to those that I assist.
During my four years of undergraduate education at DeSales university, I belonged to a few organizations focused on public speaking. These include a Leadership summit that ran for the duration of one academic year and ended with myself being certified in the organization: Leaders Emerging At DeSales University (LEADsu). I have also been an intern and volunteered at my Campus Ministry which allowed me to present on numerous topics to various groups and expand my public speaking techniques as the audiences changed. Lastly, during my tutoring at the university, I would at times tutor up to 15 students at a time allowing me to present topics to such large groups of students.
I have earned a Bachelor's of Arts degree from DeSales University, an accredited institution, located in Center Valley, PA. I have tutored a variety of subject areas in Theology ranging from History, Systematic Theology, Religious Philosophy, and Moral Theology. My tutoring experience has been both one-on-one and group tutoring for the four years of my undergraduate education. I plan on continuing to my Master's Degree in Theology within the next 1-2 years.
