Ever since I was a young girl, I have wanted to be a teacher. Combined with my passion for math, I became a High School Mathematics teacher straight out of college. I then obtained my National Board Certification. I taught high school math for six years. I am currently a stay at home mom teaching preschool to my children. I have been tutoring students from elementary school through college for the past 15 years.
While teaching, I was in charge of developing and implementing lesson plans to help students who were struggling to pass state tests. I enjoy working on-one-on with students in order to help them achieve success with difficult concepts.
I am available to tutor elementary math, Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, Trigonometry, Calculus, Statistics, and College math courses.

Suzzanne helped my daughter prepare for her 9th grade Geometry final. My daughter was very pleased with Suzzanne and said that she explained things in a patient and easy to understand manner.
Suzanne did a great job in tutoring my daughter who is a freshman in college. Her teaching style is wonderful! She explains complex problems in an easy to understand manner. We highly recommend Suzanne for any math needs.
My son was having trouble with Geometry, ( 10th grade). We needed immediate help for an upcoming test. Suzzanne responded within a few hours and was able to fit us into her schedule that very same night. She arrived 10 minutes early for the appointment allowing us time for introductions and to explain what he needed help with, without wasting precious time that we needed for the lesson. Suzzannne was well versed in Geometry and it only took her a matter of a few seconds to look at the problems and begin to teach him. She made him think along the way and was able to quickly assess when she saw he was having trouble. At that point, she re-explained the problems at hand. Nearing the end of the lesson she had my son feeling confident about the geometry problems and even took the time to make him a few extra problems to work through before the lesson ended. Without a doubt, I will use Suzzanne again for Geometry help. My son enjoyed the lesson and she made him feel comfortable and confident.
Suzzanne is a very patient and understandable tutor for my daughter. My daughter looks forward to her next lesson.
She simplified the process to help me understand the lesson. I completed all my lessons with 100%. It was a great experience.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
