Lesson four with Maria. I was have trouble differentiating between ser and estar. Maria took the time to explain the differences. She is very patient and goes over anything you don’t understand. She gave me homework to double check my surety of the verbs. She truly wants you to understand everything fully before moving onto the next lesson. Extremely grateful to have her as a professor.

Flexible and Structured

I am an individual who needs structure and goals to focus. Maria has done a good job at helping me plot out some goals and how we will do it. I also appreciate the accountability of homework. I am capable of studying on my own but with her assignments before our next lesson I am able to use that and my own personal material to learn more. I really feel like just from the last few lessons that I am gaining a better understanding of Portuguese.
