I am an educator with almost fifteen years' experience in teaching Judaics and English. My teaching has been primarily in High School, although I have also taught Middle School students and adults, and am currently a Professor in a doctoral program in Education. I am passionate about my students' learning (as I was taught myself while earning my Master's degree, "If they didn't learn it, you didn't teach it!"), and am both patient and innovative in my educational approach. I take the progress of my students very seriously and work to make the experience enjoyable and successful.

I teach Hebrew language (biblical, rabbinic, and modern) and all major areas of Jewish religion: Written Torah, Mishna/Talmud, Philosophy, and Jewish Law. (As a lawyer, I can draw on my training with modern legal systems to help students better understand Jewish ethics, law, and history. As someone conversant in several foreign languages - including Russian and German - I can explain linguistic concepts drawing on my background in language study). My specialty areas in English instruction include grammar, vocabulary, and reading. In all of my teaching I use humor where appropriate to bring ideas to life. When my students achieve the goals they set for themselves, I know that I am doing the job I have been hired to do.

I put the achievement of my students as my number one goal. I am patient, pay careful attention to areas where students need particular help, and work hard to enable students to achieve their goals. I have a Master's degree in Jewish Education from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a Juris Doctor degree (along with graduate work in Russian Studies) from George Washington University. I have many years of teaching experience at the high school, graduate school, and middle school levels. I am a professional writer and create scripts for online educational materials.
