I recently moved back to the Philadelphia area after living in New York for three years. I have a Master's in General Education and Special Education Grades 1-6. My goal, as conveyed through my title, is to make learning fun and engaging for the students. I have taught students with disabilities for the past two years, specifically students on the Autism Spectrum, speech and language impairments and behavior disorders. Therefore, I understand that each child learns differently and am able to employ various strategies to help students that might be struggling with specific content areas. I will spend as long as needed for the student to fully grasp a particular subject area and ensure mastery by creating hands-on lessons.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
