I am a highly experienced voice teacher, singer, and performer. My studio has a range of ages from middle school to older adult. I also teach Trop and prepare Bat and Bar-Mitzvah students-kids and adults.
I am very student-centered meaning I approach the work with the needs of my students in mind. I am helpful with skill-building, discovering ways to be creative and developing resources for dealing with the stress or anxiety that comes with performing before a group.
If you are looking to develop yourself as a singer professionally or not-singing is a wonderful skill and art! Becoming Bat or Bar-Mitzvah demands singing-I'm here to make it enjoyable and meaningful!

My daughter has been having voice lessons with Sharon, she loves her teaching style. Sharon is pleasant, encouraging and professional, she teaches the songs my daughter likes and teach her how to use her body as her instrument. Sharon is a very good voice teacher, I highly recommend her.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

My primary focus is guiding you into discovering, maintaining, developing and building your unique voice. I am careful to teach you based on your age, development, level of understanding as well as your objectives and goals. Singing includes many other facets -song interpretation and communication (the acting), comfort with performing and connecting to your audience, musician skills-basic piano skills, ear training, sight-singing, foreign language prononciation and understanding, audition preparation and more.
I work with YOU and your voice-in other words-I want to know what you are interested in learning as well give you a well-rounded understanding of the vast singing genre-aria, art song, folk song, jazz standard, musical theatre song, pop tune, rock song.
Depending on your level of vocal skill and comprehension, we can work together to tweak your sound-using mixed/belt voice and creative stylistic nuances.
I work with middle school, high school, adult and older adult students morning, afternoon, evening hours on weekdays and weekends.
