My favorite inspiring message about finding your purpose and making it happen ended with story of an ordinary woman with three pennies, a mission, and passion for children in Calcutta. Many years later, when others asked her how they could start making a difference in the world, she, more commonly known as Mother Theresa, answered, "Find your Calcutta." My "Calcutta" is changing the lives of children...I cannot imagine doing anything else.
Fourteen years ago, I began the journey I’ve dreamt about since I was a little girl... to be a teacher and change the lives of children. I currently hold teaching certificates in Georgia and Pennsylvania, and I have been blessed with the opportunity to teach in a variety of areas--regular and special education, public and private school, rural areas and suburbs. I cannot fathom being anywhere other than the classroom. These unique experiences qualify me for meeting and exceeding all expectations from the parents, community, and administration of your school. My passion, dedication, and outside-the-box teaching style has surpassed expectations and touched the lives of every student, parent, and colleague I’ve had the privilege to interact with. The classroom is my stage.

I hold a Reading Endorsement, have many hours of Readers/Writers Workshop, Daily 5, and CAFE training, and I have a passion for grammar, reading, and writing.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a teaching certificate in Pennsylvania and Georgia to teach elementary grades.
