The Pennsylvania State University (Elementary Education)
My name is Kaylee. I am a recent graduate from The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education (K-6). I have a passion for children and education. I have always wanted to become a teacher. During my college career, I worked with a day care as an Associate Teacher in Altoona, PA, caring for children as young as sixth months to twelve years of age. Many of those days were spent at elementary schools around the area to help parents with before and after school care for their children. I have experience with tutoring, as I am currently a private tutor for a student in reading. I recently completed my student teaching experience as a 4th grade teacher. I substituted for a month after graduating at the school where I student taught, which gave me the experience I was seeking within different grade levels. I am very passionate, enthusiastic and an ambitious individual with experience that will hopefully suit the needs of a student who is seeking growth within any subject area. I am eager to meet students to assist them in new learning opportunities!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
