Currently, I work as a tutor for a well-known learning center, teaching students anywhere from k-12th grade math, science, and SAT prep. Mathematics and science is my passion, so helping others understand it and see the beauty in its art form is all the more enticing to me. If the student feels accomplished, then so do I and the feeling of such accomplishment, in helping others, is one that is unique and wholly rewarding.
I have my bachelor's of science in pure mathematics which emphasizes a rigorous understanding of axiomatic systems and how the foundations build up to theorems and other statements of math we take for granted. This pushes us to take courses in all fields of math-- including all levels of calculus, abstract/linear algebra, real/complex analysis, topology, number theory, and more. My favorite branch is dynamics, which takes a page from every aspect of math! I ended with a 3.72 GPA and my major GPA was 3.9. My GRE math score was 165. I hope this doesn't come too strongly as boasting but I do believe these qualify me for my understanding of math!
