As a former principal, English teacher, and counselor I have worked with students in the field of education for approximately twenty years. I am a lover of learning and believe in personal growth and an unwavering appreciation for truth, honesty, and understanding. I believe in a person's ability to be the best they can be when given the access, resource and support. I enjoy helping others and in giving back. My fondest memories are those that are highlighted from when I was a literature teacher at the secondary level of education. I treasure those memories from those students in my 9th and 12th grade literature classes.
On a personal note, I am intelligent, dedicated, innovative, dependable, reliable, organized, and spontaneous, especially with the delivery of subject matter. I am committed to my role and any task I submerge myself into and I expect the same passion and devotion of those around me. I love learning and I love to give back. As an educator, I believe we all have a higher purpose, which is to serve.
As a former principal and literature teacher as well as a journalist, I believe I am qualified to help aid you in your pursuit of excellence. I have done many things in my life, which includes, but is not limited to writing for a newspaper, being a principal, and being a teacher. I have held my certifications in both administration and English. I know I can be of help to you in becoming a better student, in comprehension, literature, writing, and reading. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
My qualifications include having approximately 20 years experience working with students. I have a M. Ed in Secondary English and School Administration. I taught high school English classes as well as ESL classes. I taught students how to better craft their skills when it comes to the different forms of writing.
As an English teacher, I taught 9th grade and 10th grade Elements of Literature. The curriculum I focused on was American Literature and Greek Mythology. I studied writers and their works of literature and will be an ideal tutor.
As a teacher and a writer, I have also had to become a master at proofreading. My responsibilities involved creating lesson plans, and then teaching, followed by grading. I've spent years grading essays, research papers, projects, etc. I have a M. Ed in Secondary English Education and School Administration. I taught high school students how to better examine their work through Spelling, Writing, Reading and Proofreading.
I have approximately 20 years experience working with students. I have a M.Ed in Secondary English and School Administration. I was a certified high school teacher who specialized in Literature, English and Writing. Subsequently, I was also a journalist for a local newspaper, a Principal for an inner city school, and a counselor.
I have an M. Ed in Secondary English Education and School Administration. I have a BA in Journalism and taught 9th and 12th grade writing classes for several years along with writing news articles for a newspaper several years ago as a journalist. As a consultant, I wrote treatment plans, progress notes and reauthorization paperwork for clients in the mental health field. I have a unique style and talent when it comes to writing.
