I have a dual bachelor's in early childhood and elementary education. I have taught over 20 years in a variety of school settings, both public and private. I taught Office 2000 at a military high school for a year, as well as ESOL for their students from Mainland China and South Korea.
Recently, I retired from the teaching sector and returned to my local community college for two associates degrees, one in TV/film and the other in music and sound production. I am very literate with computers, and I can help you or your child develop computer skills in Microsoft Office and Video and audio editing skills.
The best way to enhance language is to have children create their own stories, then use the various technologies to enhance them. Research has proven that when this is developed from the child, rather than dictated to from an external source, that thier achievement advances more quickly and more efficiently. However, if you prefer traditional methods, I can help there as well.
I also have produced and I DJ my own children's radio show at my local community college

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a Master's degree in General Education, and a Bachelors in El Ed, as well as one in Early Childhood Education. I have taught Pre-k to grade 6 for over 20 years in both public and private school settings. I am versatile in a wide variety of teaching styles to help the individual learner. Additionally, recently I have completed audio and video production A.A. degrees; these skills can further enhance the education of the students I will be working with.
I taught myself Office 2000 in 2001 to teach it to High School Students at a military school. This shows my ability to learn the MS world.
Windows has changed a lot since Windows 95, and I have had computer with each operating system since then, this includes my current Windows 8 laptop. Using Windows is relatively easy when someone is not overwhelmed and just takes things one step at a time. I can troubleshoot and correct simple windows errors using msconfig and regedit. I also can teach the clients how to use and update anti virus and anti spyware/malware software.
I have a master's degree in general education and have taught all grade levels from pre-k to high school. Organizing information using a variety of techniques like webbing, proofreading, outlining, and doing online research to enhance understanding is some of the things I bring to this table. I have a talent for discovering the best way people learn and draw that out of them to apply to their education.
